What is PGP?
PGP stands for Plain Great Players and is our Youth Academy at Great Plains Theatre that includes kids of all ages. This is an entity of Great Plains Theatre as a professional performing arts space that involves the youth in our community as singers, actors, technicians, and creatives to teach and train for what being a professional, working artist is like.
PGP Mission
Our goal is for all to follow their dreams, create a professional life in the arts, and teach confidence in whatever path they decide to take while being encouraged to pursue a fulfilling life led with positivity and motivation. We strive to give every child an equal chance at successfully trying what excites and inspires them.

Live Literature Series
Great Plains Theatre's Live Literature program is a great way to see a fun, educational show as an introduction to theatre! We strive to educate and inspire our students of the Central Kansas region valuable life lessons through a live adaptation of a classic piece of literature.
Coming in 2023, we will have TWO Live Literature productions at Great Plains Theatre! One will be for preschool-5th graders and the other for 6-12th graders! This is a great field trip opportunity for your students and a way to keep them learning even outside of the classroom!
Please visit the show specific page that you are interested in for more information!
