Meghan Heimbecker* - (Daughter #1) - Meghan Heimbecker is thrilled to be working with the Great Plains Theatre. She resides in Philadelphia, PA where she works as an actress, director, and teaching artist. Most notable performances are Isabel in My Children, My Africa! (Wilma Theatre- Barrymore Nomination, Supporting Actress), Lady Caroline in Enchanted April (Walnut Street Theatre), and two Theatreworks tours out of NYC. Krista Jo Miller - (Daughter #2) - Krista Jo Miller is currently Director of Theatre at California Baptist University in River-
side, California, where she teaches performance and history classes, directs productions, and steers the direction of the Theatre Arts program. She holds her MFA in Drama with an emphasis in Directing from the University of Oklahoma and a BS in Vocal Performance from Southern Nazarene University. Prior to entering full-time teaching, she worked as a professional actress and director.
Sarah Huggins - (Daughter #3) - Sarah Huggins is a recent graduate from Oklahoma City University. She holds a BA in Theatre Performance and is thrilled to be working with everyone at the Great Plains Theatre! Her recent roles include Little Mary in Stage Door, Gladiola Fezziwig in A Christmas Carol, and Rebecca Nurse in The Crucible. Sarah would like to thank her Heavenly Father, her family, and her fiancé for their constant love and support!
Gretchen Ferris - (Daughter #4) - Regional: The Diary of Anne Frank, The Matchmaker (Triad Stage), Morticians in Love (Theatre 232), Sadie’s Spectacular Saturday (Bright Star Children’s Theatre), Parallel Lives (Open Space Café Theatre), Grease, Dracula (Ohio Outdoor Drama Historical Association), Ruth (Blue Shift Theatre Ensemble). Educational credits include: The Country Wife, The Taste of Sunrise, You Can't Take It With You, The Foreigner. Education: MFA, UNC Greensboro; MA Florida State University; BA, Lenoir-Rhyne College.
Danelle Wildermuth - (Daughter #5) - Danelle is excited to join Great Plains Theatre at the end of a wonderful summer. A native of Minnesota and graduate of South Dakota State University, she recently toured the west coast with The Hampstead Stage Company. Other regional work includes playing Mrs. Fred with Troupe America of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Elizabeth Glane with The Lost Colony on Roanoke Island, North Carolina. Danelle sends much love and gratitude to her family and friends for their support!
Maggie Hoffman - (Daughter #6) -This marks Maggie's fifth mainstage show at the Great Plains Theatre. Her credits include Godspell, Orphan Train, Annie, and last season Maggie was seen as Ursula in Bye Bye Birdie. A junior at Abilene High School, Maggie is active in GPT's Youth Actors' Guild, AHS Singers, Tennis, and Cheerleading. She would like to thank her mom and dad, Leslie and Dwight Hoffman, and Marc and Doug for all of their support.
Lisa Divel - (Sarah #7) - From the moment she saw the show 20 years ago, Lisa has been excited about Quilters. It is an extremely important story to tell. Lisa is proud to have been a member of the original ad hoc committee to start GPT. You might remember seeing Lisa as Kim's mom in Bye Bye Birdie, the major's wife in Music Man, Etta in The Homecoming, Grace in Grace and Glory, and The General in Guys and Dolls. Also for GPT she has portrayed Grandma Aida in Over the River, Ma Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life, Mama Wheelis in Daddy's Dying, Ouiser in Steel Magnolias, Aunt Eller in Oklahoma, Auntie Em in Wizard of Oz, and many Christmas shows. Lisa has also performed at Salina and Junction City Little Theatres. She is married to Larry, and they have two wonderful daughters, Kelly, married to Greg Mansfield, and Katie, a senior in Abilene. Both girls and her husband have all been on the GPT stage. She was especially proud of Larry's acting in Lucky Stiff. Lisa teaches speech and drama at Chapman High School. She dedicates this performance to her mother, one of the founders of Junction City Little Theatre, Mona Kessinger, who will be grateful to know, was not buried in her best quilt.
